Saintgrizzly, San Juan Mountains, 1978 | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |
In 1978, Vern bought a CJ7, I bought a CJ5. We dubbed them “The San Juan Rat Patrol” and together we scoured Colorado’s many jeep trails. After the initial “fourwheeling craze,” we would realize the true value of our jeeps. They were used to get us to remote trailheads, rather than enjoying them for the actual sport of fourwheeling. Vern would soon make a detour, the first of three, in our journey. He would relocate to Lander, Wyoming to study photography, another passion we both shared. His jeep wouldn't last as long as mine did. Digital scan of a 35mm slide. Photo by Aaron Johnson | Image Type(s): Informational |
