As for the size, my guess would be that it's about 1500m high, from the base of the face to the summit of the mountain. Even ignoring the obvious rockfall danger, I couldn't possibly climb a wall like this, but fortunately, the two normal routes are on the SW and NW ridges, respectively. As mountain conditions change over time, it varies which one is the easiest.

Re: Excellent photo!Yep, September is really late. The main climbing season in Bolivia is supposed to be June and July, and May and August are also supposed to be pretty good. However, as I found out, September is fine as well, and basically, you can climb until the spring rains start, which is usually around the middle of October. And the Sajama area is drier than the Cordillera Real anyway.
Of all the mountains I tried to climb, Sajama happened to be the only one where the weather interfered: due to high winds, we didn´t even leave high camp in the early hours, but instead we descended later that morning. However, high winds can happen anytime. If only we had planned for a spare day, we would have been able to climb it ...
