Samaria Mountains HP (ID)

The road you see dropping down is where we went to park and the road you see heading uphill is a road that went along the fenceline (a different road but not the one we continued on with) However, afterward, I felt that this spot where I took this picture from would have been a better spot to park and hike from. The high point is up to the right and behind me was a communications structure that you can use as a reference marker for this spot. It was less than a mile from this spot to the summit and as you can see, the country is very open and you can stay out of the trees on your hike up to the highpoint. 7-10-09
