This is the first mountain climbed on my Alta Via Trek. I find that the most impressive way to climb it is from the Northern side, leaving the beautiful lake Pragster Wildsee it's a 1,300mtr climb to the top, but well worth it. Views magnificent, both Southerly and to the East. The mountain hut is 300mtrs below the summit so a good place to stay. The ascent from the hut fairly easy using chains, fixed equipment, descent a little difficult for some. Find that it's a good first summit as it can be seen, looked back upon for the rest of the week.
