A warm wave of weather made the ice really wet, water dripping. Lovely little outing. We climbed the lower Senator Gulch to the curve in the road, and continued onto a well established trail to the main flow of Senator Gulch.
Should I mention that I worked that morning in Montrose and we did not get there till 4:00 PM? and were done by 5:30 with both lower Senator and upper main ice fall, no rush.
The sign "Keep Out or no trespassing" is gone.
A few days mid week with Zach and Mike, great weather, super company (except for the gdam music!).....can't wait to take the AT skis back for the next visit. By mid January, these routes, even one we did north of Silverton, see one hell of a lot of traffic, making them much easier to climb than the stuff in the Canadian Rockies. Great accessibility though.
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
