Sentinel Peak

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Sentinel Peak
The one and only Sentinel Peak.
One of my favorite peaks around Lake Mead to photograph and also a great hike. Here it is seen from the approach to Boulder Peak.
Lake Mead Area, Nevada. January 2008.

It looks like someone splashed all kinds of paint on this mountain. There must be a lot of different minerals there to make all those colors! Great shot!

Thank you. Yes, Nature can be very artistic in creating things. This is a nice example of that.
All the best to you and your new wife!

Thank you Paolo. We actually found a perfectly round lava bomb that day probably millions years old. An interesting area indeed.

Thank you. I need to go up there again sometime soon for new photos. It's been 3 years now since we climbed Sentinel.
Greetings, Anya.
