Route Climbed: Pancake Rocks w/loop down n.e. ridge Date Climbed: Jan 22, 2005
Excellent scramble which poses quite a challenge in winter. I ascended the Pancake Rocks trail, then traversed the long south ridge. Postholing was a problem even with snowshoes. I approached from the s.w. side, but the summit block was all 4th-5th class. The n.e. side is the weakness. Descended n.e. ridge with deep snow in the valley. 3600' vertical on the day!
