"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Great hikeWith Mark and Natasha from the Maria Wild-something Monestary. Easy hike up to the saddle, fun light scrambling from there. Aggressive birds up top eating my buffalo jerky. After this, we hiked over to Peilspitze and then down to the hut for beer and cake. Passed a sleeping older Austrian man in a meadow between. Got to watch a motorcycle riding Border Collie at the hut.

Route Climbed: From Maria Waldrast Date Climbed: 13.8.00Excellent weather. We came up the normal way and joined about 30-50 climbers at the summit. We descended via the Kalbenjoch from which we came down to Maria Waldrast.
Though this summit is not very high, it might be one of the most popular mountains in the Stubai alps (to my experience). Easy to climb (hands are needed occasionally) and excellent view.
