Dave Gray and I as we headed up misery hill on Mt. Shasta. Dave joined Bob and I on our effort to climb Mt. Shasta and became a good friend before the trip was over. Dave lives nearby and just happened to be looking for partners when we first met him at horse camp. My point is that sometimes you discover friends when you aren't even expecting it. That was also the way we met Tom Snuffin (Cornvallis), on the top of a peak in Oregon (McGlothlin) Pic by Bob Bolton (see his remarks below)

Misery Hill

Actually I took the photo of you and Dave at the top of the the slopes above the Red Banks, at the shoulder below Misery Hill. This was where I enjoyed that marvelous "Suzannewich" :-)
