"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Also ShermanatedWow, your Mt. Sherman trip report could have been mine, including the fact that it was tougher than other supposedly easier 14ers (Mt. Elbert and Mt. Bierstadt are my only others, the going down all that talus and scree being such a pain in the a** and the worst part being the last 10 feet to the car (after going through all of that talus yet again). Just read that it was "your grandmother's 14er" and that "it will fool you into thinking that all 14ers are this easy." I have mild fear of heights and most worried about the ridge, but that was the least of it!
It may have something to do with going up the Leadville side--steeper and more scree and talus. The summit was gorgeous--warm and sunny with a big part (and dog party) on top, so I might try going up the Fairplay side again.
Thanks again for posting! This was EXACTLY my experience! (Except the spider part--I like spiders.)

Re: Also ShermanatedGood to know I wasn't alone. Glad to hear you still had a good day on the peak though!
