ShooflySummit area is now all burned up. Not very pretty, but there's no brush to slow you down.

all in a dayFun boulder scramble to the meadow area on top....we hit Shoofly on the way back from Top Lake and Fall Mountain....

Better Than ExpectedI figured the summit would have no worthy views due to treecover, but I was definitely wrong about that. The forested off-trail ridge-hike was fairly straightforward: just keep heading "up" to the highest point. The wild blueberries and huckleberries already started coming out.
