From Talloires or Faverges take the road to Forclaz collar (D 42). Between the collar and Montmin, turn left in direction Bois hamlet and continue on the track to Chalet de l'Aulp.

Route Description

Start in the meadows of the Chalet de l'Aulp. Many bends lead to the cliff of Pierre à Chatelard. Conturn the cliff on the right. Traverse to the basin occupied by the Blonay-Dufour hut (1774 m).

Continue under the Casset cliffs and climb on the top of them through a subsidence in the wall.

After a grassy shoulder near the Varo collar, the path crosses a rocky terrain. The steapest passings are equipped with chains and cables.

The summit monolith is climbed with the help of chains and two iron ladders tau between ground and sky.
