| After my ascent of Bartlett Peak I hiked down the ridge and then back up. Eventually I found myself on top of Shumard Peak. Wow! I can't imagine how difficult the traverse is from Guad Peak. I'm glad I didn't attempt it. | |

| I've got to confess I was pretty good and tuckered out by the time we got back to camp the afternoon after these two peaks. Desert scrub bushwhacking, navigating around pour-offs, etc. Good times! | |
