Sierra Blanca from Skyline Campground

Floods in the Ruidoso, NM area on July 26th and 27th, 2008, prevented close access to Lookout Mountain or Sierra Blanca, via road to Ski area. Hiking along the Crest Trail, an access which is availabel near the Skyline Campground not affected by the floods, had to substitute for a short climb of Lookout Mountain. Sierra Blanca is seen here at left rear, the tallest peak.
