<<< First of all this webpage is not yet completed, im still gathering information >>>

Located south of the province called Salamanca in Spain, appears the town of Béjar, which is built at an altitude near the 970 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains with luxurious vegetation.
This range of mountain is called Sierra de Béjar, and its highest peak is Calvitero, with 2401 meters high.

The city of Béjar has a great tourism initiative that led to the ski resort called Sierra de Béjar - La Covatilla, which has good conditions for practicing winter sports. The ski resort starts at an elevation close to the 1900 meters and it has 24 km of ski tracks:
- 3 "Green" (easy);
- 8 "Blue" (intermediate);
- 19 "red" (hard).

You can see the ski tracks map by clicking here.

The ski resort has the easiest tracks starting at the high of 1900 meters and the highest cable car goes to the Canchal Negro at 2369 meters high.

Whether if you want to practice ski, hiking or mountaineering, from the center of the city Béjar to the parking lot of Sierra de Béjar its 18 km by road, which will take approximately 20 minutes by car and is the best spot to leave your car.

At La - Covatilla there are some buildings, such as restaurants, shops, etc, which you can also rent equipment for winter activities.
