Sill Glacier

The Sill Glacier that lies between Cascade Peak and Johannesburg and wraps a bit onto the north face of J'berg. A couple times during the hike in to Sahale, we heard great explosions and rumblings from this area. On the hike out I did manage to witness a calving and large chunks of ice plummet to the valley floor below. (No, I did not have time to get to my camera.)

cool pic

me and a buddy ended up sleeping on the trail and we could hear those sounds all night long. almost scary.
