Voted 10/10 | Cordillera Huayhuash seems to be the more impressive place to go compared to Cordillera Blanca, if I just rate the pictures I saw from both ranges. | | Posted Jun 15, 2007 5:20 am |

Hasn't voted | The high peaks of the Cordillera Blanca are equally or even more beautiful, but it is difficult to see them because the valleys (quebradas) are so deep. For example, on the popular 4-5 day Santa Cruz trek, you only get really full views of the big peaks for 1-2 days, at the head of the valley. However, the Cordillera Blanca is not to be missed. There are easier climbs, and many short treks to beautiful lagunas. | | Posted Jun 15, 2007 1:44 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I´ve been to Cordillera Blanca in 2005 to climb Alpamayo, but the Huayhuash images I´ve seen on the internet compared to the "real" impression of Cordillera Blanca give me the feeling that Huayhuash would have been the better area to go. More remote and much more massive mountains. | | Posted Jun 15, 2007 7:23 pm |
| julesblaidd | Wow | |
Voted 10/10 | It's really nice picture ! It was the face climbed by Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, isn't it ?
It seems it's not so snowy on this photo.
The goose family is amazing ! It could be nice trip. | | Posted Jun 15, 2007 9:15 am |

Voted 10/10 | The presence of the black birds on the blue/white background adds life and movement to the photo.
Congras.
