Overview

Skagit Gadget, also known as Clearlake Hill, is a low elevation summit in the foothills of the Northern Cascades. Skagit Gadget stands at 1,120ft tall and has 680ft of prominence. It is a Class 1 road walk up. 4 miles roundtrip and roughly 1,000ft of elevation are the stats for this little guy. Most people would consider this a "dumpster dive" summit, however it proved more worthy than such a name. To my suprise, I could see two different Washington State Volcanos from Skagit Gadget! Views from an area before the forrested true summit offer views of Mt. Rainer, Devil's Mountain, Little Mountain, The Puget Sound, Cultus Mountain, Sauk Mountain, and Big Cultus Mountain. Not a bad place to visit during the middle of winter, or if you are short on time, or want some dumpster dive solitude!
