Skamania CoHP

Me, at one of three "summit" cairns I found on the west ridge of Mount Adams, marking the Skamania County Highpoint location. According to my GPS, the three cairns were located at ~8936' (shown here), ~8970', and ~9000'. And, yes, I was wearing a bear bell (see right side of photo). Going solo, and leaving during darkness, it never hurts to use extra caution. I found several tracks and scat from bear and cougar on the mountain slopes. The Skamania County Highpoint is where the county line lies on the west ridgeline of Mount Adams. Photo taken on July 25, 2010.
