Adrenaline Rush!!That is one place I would not want to be during a storm! Judging by the picture it looks like a storm is coming very soon! Nice photo!

Re: Adrenaline Rush!!Thanks. Actually, that bit of cloud moved out and was gone within minutes of this picture being taken. No doubt though, bad place to be caught on the wrong side of in a storm!

Re: nice shotI think he means that they simply walked across the ridge (a la a tightrope walker in the circus). Definately not the way I'd do it! I'd be on all fours the entire way no matter how long it took me. Great photo!

Sooooo Fun!!!Man, that looks like it was a good time! The ridge doesn't look too bad in the picture, as long as it wasn't really windy. Gotta take a jab at you for being the only one to crawl across... :) just kidding... obviously a fall down either side of the ridge would make a great trip turn horrific in a hurry. Most certainly better safe than sorry.

Re: FUN SCHTUFFIt depends on who you talk to as to what Capitol’s crux is. Many consider the Knife Edge, which is the route’s most exposed section, to be the crux. However many will tell you that the climb over K2 (that high point in the background) is the hardest part. I’ve found that the traverse across the face to the summit has been the part that has given me the most willies. It has never looked good to me from a distance. Once I’m on it, it isn’t that bad. However, on the face you do have to worry about the generally loose rock, and about finding your route (as a general rule, I’ve found that staying higher on the face is better going). The Knife Edge while exposed, is nice solid rock. K2 is pretty solid too. Traversing around K2 is loose, and dangerous, but you don’t need to go that way.

ImpressiveWOW....
I can't stop staring at this picture. There is something so otherworldly and timeless about it. Like its the very edge of the world and you're climbing to take a look over it and into the "great abyss!!" (I think the fog kind of creates that effect)
