Smooth Schist

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Smooth Schist
This outcrop is close to (upstream from) the Cigar Box crag and may be seen while traversing the shoreline from Flat Iron to Cigar Box. This smooth schist is typical of the Great Falls area and explains why trad climbing is difficult to do in the area, leaving toproping as the most popular climbing style.
