Snezna jama (Snow Cave)

Snezna jama (Snow Cave)

The first hall in Snezna jama (Snow Cave). We are standing on a more than 15 meters deep layer of ice - an ex frozen lake. A very worth visit! August 19th, 2006.

Great

Very nice pictures!
Apparently you had a special tour as there was enough time to take these great photos.
Cheers,
Klaus

Re: Great

No, nothing special, Klaus. The usual tour lasts 2h (for some 600m of the cave, not much ascents and descents). The group at 17:00 p.m. was unusually big - some 30 people. There was only one guide, who had a lot to do, because not everywhere the group could gather and he had some German speaking tourists too. So the tour lasted, and lasted,... Taking photos, I had troubles, as it was hard to get enough light for a camera to measure distance. But I took a lot of pictures and some are fair enough.

Marvellous pecina

Just superb Vid, just magnificent....my only question is how did you illuminate such a vast and dank cavern to produce this spectacular foto? Flash powder? Thanks for sharing (10/10)

Re: Marvellous pecina

Thank you, JoelSkok!
I don't remember anything special. I believe that this part of the cave was already illuminated with light which visitors had, or perhaps also with stationary light. And I used my camera flash as well. Then I also remember that in Photoshop I reduced the yellowish tone on the picture.

Cheers!
Vid
