Nicephoto with dog-rose Vid! I wonder what do we see here, is this Ilirska Bistrica and its karts field maybe?

What do we see? It's more towards NW. If you drive from Pivka directly towards SE - over Knezak, you soon reach the village, called Zagorje. We have a very nice (typically Slovenian sad) song, which goes like this:
Zagorski zvonovi,
tak lepo pojo,
ko mojo drago,
ko mojo drago,
k pogrebu neso...
and later...
zvoniti bom pustil,
kropiti pa ne,
ker kropile jo bodo
le moje solze...
Well, let's leave sad stories. Above this Zagorje (westwards) is a village on a hill - Silentabor (people were hiding there from Turks) - There was this picture taken.

Re: NiceI've found Knezak and Zagorje on the map. Nice karst field and corner among the mountains. I didn't notice it on the map by now, and it looks quite large. That is sad song indeed. Well, my English dictionary says that Sipak is Dog-Rose. Sipak belongs to family of roses so it makes sense but why dog? What dogs have to do with Sipak? :-)
