party of 3
We had a 6am start and got to the waterfall at 10am. Made the summit at 3:45pm and then the tramway at 5:45pm. The lower mountain is in great shape. We encountered some soft snowpack during the last 400-800' of gain.
fun climb. can't believe there's such hidden beauty in the desert. did it with miguel, rick, and bunch of other SP'ers.

Snow Creek Fun
For years I've been staring at that couloir on my way back from Joshua Tree...Finally knocked it off last weekend. Definitely a classic, but pretty brutal if your only training has been weekend cragging! Conditions were pretty good -- predictably soft at the top. Otherwise, nice crunchy snow. Climbed with Brad and Ryan.

Freeking Knees
Was a good time with half of SummitPost out there. WAS UNSUCCESSFUL to summit due to knee problems, and everyone else in the group flew like butterfies. I'll return to make it happen though! Great views out there!

Done...
Did this route twice 2 weekends in a row...better to hit it after a good snow year, and after it avalanched. There is one semi-technical section (waterfall) where we used a rope...other that that, it is steep but on good snow (at least when we climbed it)
Incrediable and exhausting climb of Snow Creek. Climbed with partner Miguel Forjan in near perfect conditions. A little soft near the top and on the hike out to the tram. Did the "side finish" variation. I have a renewed respect for San Jacinto after completing this route.
Climbed with Kurt Wedberg during a great snow year - would love to go again in a day (maybe this year) keep finger and toes crossed:D

Second Attempt
I was turned back @ 7000' on a 2004, two day attempt, by poor snow conditions. We got a midnite start and were on the summit by noon. Perfect climbing conditions.
