This is the open side of the snow cabin shelter. There is a plaque posted inside. Most likely used by snowmobilers in the wintertime. 6-21-03

It looks like it should be. Of course, there is no hickory in Oregon but this does look like something you'd find on the east coast. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else in the northwest.

It seems to be pretty vulnerable considering the motorcycle traffic I noticed up there. Welcome to summitpost.
