Great Memory  Sucess!

A great summit of a seldomly-climbed mountain. I was 14 years old.

Snowy Snowdrift  Sucess!

Climbed with Floyd, packed in to camp at Granite Falls and climbed northeast ridge after wrapping around peak. A lot more snow then we expected, it had been a light snow year and a warm spring, but the west side of RMNP is holding a lot of snow still.

Fourth Time is a Charm  Sucess!

This was my 4th attempt on this moutain over the past 5 yrs, and finally made it! Could not have asked for better weather...pretty warm considering the date. Had the summit and the biggest part of the day to myself

North to South Traverse  Sucess!

Part of a 3 night backpack. Hiked up the north ridge, sought out refuge from lightening in the notch just north of the summit, summited, and climbed down the south ridge to the saddle above snowdrift lake, glissaded down the steep snow chute towards the lake and hiked down the series of valleys towards the continental divide trail. First person in the summit register for this year and only a page and a half in the register from the last 3 years.

Via: Flattop Trail  Sucess!

We went up the Flattop trail, around Ptarmigan Point, and over the unnamed summit to the east of Snowdrift. The snowy ridge was easy and the view of Murphy Lake on one side and Snowdrift Lake on the other is worth the effort.
