Weder Karte noch Alpenvereinsführer geben her, wo die Sommerwand ist. Ich sehe den Ferner und einen Sommerwandklettersteig. Mir scheint, es ist der Grat nordwestlich des Sommerwandferners, der nach Süden aud die Kräulscharte (und die Kräulspitzen) zuläuft. Richtig?
Ups - hab's gefunden auf meiner eigenen Karte :o), hatte sie nur fälschlicherweise Sonnenwände genannt.

Well, in fact Sommerwand is very popular, because it' s close to Franz Senn-hut. But there are a lot of summits close to Sommerwand, which aren' t crowded and there you have the possibility to experience the mountain alone...
This spring I was at the Amberger hut, we did Schrankogel - it was OK, but on the next day - Mutterberger Seespitze. What a difference! Not counting the height it was a nicer tour in every aspect, challenging, varied, and with a similar north face with powder. Despite the fact that we didn't reach the top, it was an adventure, which Schrankogel wasn't (no other groups here, more difficult route finding and climbing).
I didn't know Sommerwand before, obviously it seemed to me to be a less known mountain. :-)
