South Ridge beta

The South Ridge of Mount Torment forms the left skyline. The route lies mostly behind the ridge on the southwest side. The southest face descent route drops more or less straight down from the saddle right of the summit to the glacier below. The class 2 saddle low on the ridge provides possible return to a Torment Basin camp if the SE face is used as a descent. August 26, 2006.
