"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

More miles than listedClimbed this peak via the South Slope route yesterday, 9.2.2019. My GPS listed it as 5.3 miles to the first creek crossing, 6.4 miles to the lake, 8.35 to the top, and 16.7 miles overall. The route description is accurate (outside of the miles) until the last bit. I could not find a ledge that led to an easier way up to the top. Managed to summit by scrambling up the gully until the ridge crest and then scrambled to the top via an extremely exposed, albeit not difficult and very short, section of rock. A fall would have been deadly, and I do not recommend that. Probably should have taken a little more time to explore but started later than I wanted to. Overall, 16.73 miles and 11 hours round trip.

Great ClimbThis is a great Class 3 scramble with some of the best views the Bitterroot Mountains have to offer.
