South toward Rainier

The best part about the hike up Bandera Mountain is seeing more and more of Mount Rainier as you climb, eventually seeing the whole mountain in all its splendor. If you look carefully, you can even see the flat top of Mount St. Helens poking over the hills to the left of Rainier. While the views are mainly of the I-90 corridor and the clearcuts across the valley, the sight of Mount Rainier makes the Bandera Mountain climb worthwhile. Taken May 25, 2005.
