The sand flowing down from near the top of the dune formed these small canyons and pillars which reminded me alot of Bryce Canyon and Southern Utah in general. Photo by Matt Durrant on February 7, 2009.

Yes it was! There was actually quite a few of these formations near the top of the dune.
