Took advantage of the warm weather
85 in Sacramento in late October? This meant it was in the 60s, 70s in the Desolation Wilderness area and Ralston Peak provided some spectacular views. Be prepared to gain roughly 1,000 feet each mile you hike.

Climbed with Troop 845 as part of a 50 mile backpacking trip through Desolation. Fun peak with a nice east face.
