Spark Plug Mountain

Spark Plug Mountain

The final "false summit" before reaching the true summit of Spark Plug Mountain, in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Washington State. This peak is the steepest and rockiest highpoint to pass en route to the true summit. The only ways to pass this "false summit" are by climbing almost vertically up the rock or by carefully following a faint animal path on the eastern side of this rock slab.
