Spring in the Low Beskid Forest

Wind Flower (Anemone nemorosa) is also often called Wood Anemone or Wind Crowfoot and it is common in Polish mountains. It appears very early in spring before deciduous trees start producing leaves. It likes open woods where it can get from 20 do 30 cm in height. Each plant produces only one flower. Anemone nemorosa is poisonous. The Low Beskid - Forest Grabiny - April 12, 2008.
