hello;) I tried to visit Tatra Mountains this year in April 2011, which was kinda hard becouse of many reasons, so I was twice happy to realize my dream and to achieve new mountains as well. I spent in area of Zakopane 5 days, 4 days climbing/hiking, 1 day resting and admiring local people and architecture.

Nice album

The Tatras are impressive mountains! Not as high as the Sierra but they look higher with all the snow and ruggedness. The mountains themselves might be as large but the range probably rises from a lower overall elevation.

this album contains just small part of the beauty of Tatra Mountains. but indeed they are impressive;) Tatras occupy an area of 750km2, with the highest peak Gerlach 2655m. on Slovak side.
