Great posting!

Thanks for adding another popular Wasatch peak to the SP website. You mention in your Squaw Peak page that there is a third route from the east. I climbed that route on a winter climb in December of 1989. You go up Rock Canyon about a mile and a half and then take a left up First Left Fork Canyon (that heads northwest) up to the saddle and then head south to the summit.

Re: Great posting!

Thank you! How long would you say the total distance is? Difficulty?

Re: Great posting!

I would say the total distance via First Left Fork is 3 miles (6 miles round trip). Not really difficult, just some steep hiking.

Vertical

I think it might be worth mentioning that the hike up rock canyon to Squaw Peak is around 1.8 miles to the turn off that goes north at about (N 40.26856 W 111.60294), and then about 1.5 miles north up the drainage, and then about another mile to the west and south west to the peak, for a total of approximately 3.3 miles one way. This route covers about 2600+ vertical feet.

What's up with the new name?

When did the new name, Kyhv, become a thing? And what does Kyhv mean?
