Start of the Hall Peak brush bash

Start of the Hall Peak brush bash

This is what you should see after hiking to the Big Four ice caves, turning right, and hiking to the far west end of the snowfields. Start up the brushy slope in the center of the picture just to the right of the cliffs. You will begin to see the flagging and handlines from previous parties shortly after starting up. It is steep, but there are plenty of trees and shrubs for bush belaying. After breaking out of the trees, you should find yourself in the gully immediately below Hall's summit as seen in the picture. From here, you can follow this small gully all the way up to intersect the larger gully above, or traverse left to intersect the larger gully above the waterfalls. In early season these gullies will be mostly snow-filled.
