I have used G14's for about 6 years - alpine as well as ice climbing. I did notice and received comments from other ice climbers about the "shortness" of the front points. Last year I added a 3rd set of holes for the toebail based on recommendation of a friend that uses the same crampons ... there is just enough space and the result is a significant improvement. Unfortunately the springy section of the toebail deformed now after years of use to a degree that the points are too short again for ice climbing. I just moved from Calgary/Canada to Holland/Michigan ... I know what was I thinking ... and could use some advise for a Grivel distributor in the US for spare parts. Any help is greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance.
