| Hiked a loop from Beaver Meadows TH up to Whiteface over the LT to Madonna and back down to Beaver Meadows. Ran into a section hiker who stayed at the Whiteface shelter, a thru-hiker on Whiteface, and the Sterling Pond shelter caretaker who said 300 people came up to the pond the day before. Whiteface had some decent views towards Mansfield. | |

| Dropped the kids at smuggs day camp while staying in the condos there and decided to explore the notch. Only up here usually to ski in the winter so it was beautiful and saw the LT route so started climbing. Ran into a guided group from smuggs on the way up and made the spruce peak summit and sterling pond route. Nice fun hike, a little turned around in the fog on top. | |
