Storm over the Divide

This was at 6:30 in the morning when a huge thunderstorm swept over the Continental Divide at Arapahoe Pass. It was photographed from the 4th of July Mine. I'd been hoping to climb the peak but ran away instead!

Storm

I know that game. I once got caught on the pass itself as a thunderstorm rolled over Mt. Neva. We could sense it coming the winds were blowing east... they suddenly shifted north and slammed us. Lightning was hitting within a few hundred feet of us. Lucky to be a live. The indian peaks are no joke.
