Stove Mountain via St. Mary's Trail-Buffalo Canyon
In red is the route up Stove Mountain from the St. Mary's Falls Trail to FR 381. In blue is a shortcut departing the St. Mary's Falls Trail in Buffalo Canyon up an un-named gully to the low point immediately southwest of Stove Mountain.
Note: The TOPO! map suggests a faint trail connecting Buffalo Canyon with the ridge to Stove Mountain, though we saw no indication of this trail in the field.
