Strange Tracks

Very strange tracks in the snow on Goblin Mountain. These tracks went up and downhill for at least a quarter mile, always maintaining an equal distance of about 6 inches apart. There was no hint of how they were made. Anyone have any idea of what animal made this? Photographed March 27, 2010.
