Stratton Pond

Stratton Pond while on the Stratton Pond loop trail. We had left the Long Trail so that we could camp at the Stratton Pond Tenting Area, which was 0.5 mile off the Long Trail. The trail getting there, however, was half pond and half trail. Many times we would have to cross a stream or a small portion of the pond on rocks, planks, or floating pieces of wood. It was rather fun, but a few times we almost fell into the water. (June 28, 2007)
