| Pleasant early fall day hike with buddy RD Jim. Moderate grades, some decent views from the top despite the haze. "Trailess" trail is easy to follow. #34/46. | ||

| Started hiking at 10.5 AM from heart lake with our snowshoes strapped on our back. Mostly easy hike, hard packed snow, no ice. Microspikes were sufficent. Sky cleared as we ascended Nye and then Street. Nice (but limited) view on both summit. Nice temp and weather. We were back by 5 PM. After reading many trail reports, winter hiking those summits looks to be the best way to climb those two. | ||

| Climbed with Nye and it was a muddy slog but not overly difficult. There is a good view to be had just past the summit sign. #25 | ||

| An unexpectedly warm day...and sunny too! The trail was covered in fall leaves, and of course muddy in parts. At least the cold nights froze the ground, which was a welcome relief. Not too hard to follow as long as I paid attention. A great view of Algonquin and Iroquois from near the summit, very impressive I thought. | ||

| Climbed with Nye via the Heart Lake Trail from the Adirondack Loj. Herd path in decent shape, not nearly as bad as it used to be. Good views of the McIntyre Range from the summit. | ||

| Hiked with Paul after doing Giant & Rocky Peak the day before. Nice showshoe all the way to the summit. Good view on the way up and just past the summit. Sunny and beautiful with tons of snow covering the trees. 22/46 | ||

| Followed the herd path and also hit Nye the same day, this was quite some time ago when there was still a summit register, I intend on going back again. | ||

| Free-soloed Street and Nye in a single afternoon! Perfect weather all weekend. The trail was actually very dusty, something I have never before seen in 30 years of hiking in the Dacks. The hike out was a little spooky. I saw some sort of ghost-hiker on the path before the river crossings, but it might have been a shadow. Got a little scratched up when the trail got really skinny. Street had a nice lookout with a different view of the Macintyres. Some nice aspiring 46ers gave me a tasty oatmeal chocolate chip cookie on the summit. Also ate a delicious MRE. Slipped on the way down, but luckily I did not fall into an abyss, because there weren't any. This was a very nice hike altogether, my 19th 46er. | ||

| Wet/muddy trail conditions w/ light coating of snow (snow exists now starting at 3,000 ft.). Cold west wind and grainy snow fell periodically. Apparently four people attempted it, but we were probably the only two to make it. Took us about 5 hours to do Street & Nye. 46r #3532. Amydoll's 9th high peak. | ||

| Trail was in FAR better condition than what I expected. Numerous guidebooks weave tales of confusing herd paths and blowdown. Other than one small section of fresh blowdown, about 500 yards from the intersection, the trail is clear and easy to follow. | ||

| Climbed with Mark. Stayed on Indian Pass trail too long and had to bushwack to NYE/Street trail from Rocky Falls. The trail up Nye was long-climbing due to so much blow-down. Bagged Street as well. Snow from 4k up with lots of postholing. | ||

| My second time up these two very accessible "trailless" peaks (Street and Nye). The view from Street is quite nice to the south. We noticed in winter the herd path to Street near the top was not very obvious and we finally just took a compass bearing and followed it, which worked fine and took ultimately took less time than trying to locate the herd path. | ||

| These two mountains were better than I expected. Much thanks to the ADK 46ers for their trailwork that has made this herd path a joy to hike! | ||
