But as I have to live a long way away, I'd be glad to know the name of that majestic peak on the left (fellow SPers will always help if it's hard to find any missing info:))

San Luis Peak

in the San Juan range of the Southern (CO) Rockies. :-)))

Thanks. The San Juan is one of the ranges I'd be eager to see in the American West.

peak name

I don't believe the pointed peak is San Luis. Perhaps Wilson Peak? which is located in another sub-range of the San Juans.

the CO native who took me to visit identified it as such and I tried to corroborate online after Yatsek asked me, but it's completely possible I'm wrong...Thanks for the info!
