Sunrise above Lake Isabelle, IPW | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Half the charm of climbing in the Indian Peaks is the incredible scenery on the approach. Just past Lake Isabelle, just past sunrise, we found this great view of Navajo (conical peak at center) and Apache (long ridge to the right). The Apache Couloir at center is a great moderate snow climb, even this late in the season. July 21, 2005. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | Kane | Simply awesome Charles | |
Voted 10/10 | I love the composition and lighting. This will be my new sig photo for Navajo and it will probably be there for years to come. | | Posted Jul 22, 2005 10:30 pm |

Hasn't voted | Wow! Thanks Kane. I'm flattered. Navajo looks like a truly spectacular peak and I'm anxious to get up there. | | Posted Jul 23, 2005 9:32 am |

Voted 10/10 | This is a great shot. Totally different perspective with the late summer photo. On one hand it looks unatural with so little snow (I like snow) but everything else about it is great. Thanks for the great shot. | | Posted Nov 12, 2005 12:45 am |
