Elbrus

Beautiful series MoT! What a day, appears to be windless too, if photo is not deceiving :-) I'm hoping for something like this when I go there but from what I've heard and read so far such fantastic days are rare on Elbrus.

Indeed! It was actually as windless as it gets at that stage - there was still a gale blowing on the top but it was a stark contrast to my first trip there in 2002 in which a sudden storm forced our team to turn around 80 vertical metres below the top! I have posted 2 pics from that epic here too
