Sunrise on Picture Peak

Sunrise on Picture Peak (13120 ft / 3999 m), in the Sabrina Basin in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Hungry Packer Lake is just over the ridge in the middle, and Moonlight Lake is just over the ridge on the left. This view was basically about 100 ft from our tent. A truly beautiful area. Photo taken August 27, 2008, from (Drunken)Sailor Lake, at approx. 11,000 ft.

	Voted 10/10	I remember watching the news in 1968 or 1969, when the "fluff" story was about some school where the cafeteria was named after Packer. In 1994, I was visiting U CO at Boulder, grabbed a bite to eat, and realized I was at the Alfred Packer Memorial Grill.
