Popular local hike with enough distance to make a nice workout with interesting scenery
About 45 minutes up. Perfect weather and not too crowded. Decent views from the top.
Very pleasant, early morning "hoik-a-poik" with a dawn start and wonderful vistas over Scottsdale and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
Hiked from the primary trailhead off of Via Linda.
A nice cool early morning jaunt.
Nice exercise before turkey day.
Hiked this a few times when I was in Phoenix on business trips.
My first summit since moving to AZ a few weeks ago. Hiked with surgent. Very beautiful desert scenery.
Climbed it in January 2012, then again in October 2012. Close by, a good peak to put into my rotation. Not too crowded, nice scenery, excellent trail.
