Sunset over Courthouse towers

This sunset is taken on July 2001. It was a rainy day, but in the evening the sun came through and lit the remaining clouds from below. This action took about 10 seconds from its start to the situation show and it was over in another 20 seconds.

Good shot...

sunsets aren't always the easiest to catch in a photo, and when you do sometimes you lose the color. I love sunsets... thanks for sharing.

PhotoSettings

I did this picture with a 50 years old camera with a handheld lightmeter. The problem was that the lightmeter was defect, so I had to make a guess. My Idea was that I WAnted to see the sky and not particurly the formations, so I tried the daylight-settings and that worked out very well.

Nevertheless this picture is maily created by good luck. These skies are rare and I tried for u number of years to make a similar picture, but although I came close, my planning never gave me a picture with this look.
